Programs

Each of our programs focuses on bringing the life-changing, confidence-building power of musical theatre training and performance to more toddlers, children, and teenagers.

SCHOLARSHIPS & PARTNERSHIPS

The Foundation expands access to ADDERLEY programs by offering classes in partnership with schools and organizations serving youth in under-resourced communities as well as scholarships to classes offered by The ADDERLEY School, our sister organization. The Foundation believes that financial circumstances should not determine a child’s ability to receive the life-enriching benefits of high-quality arts programming.

We currently offer ADDERLEY Method classes in partnership with Blackshear Elementary School, a Title I School in Austin, Texas. Past partners include: The Ann Richards School for Young Women Leaders, the Boys & Girls Club, and Meadowbrook Apartments, all in Austin, Texas. These programs will expand to the communities served by all ADDERLEY Schools. At this time, THE ADDERLEY SCHOOL has a footprint in California, Connecticut, Louisiana, and Texas.

If you or your organization are interested in exploring a partnership or underwriting a scholarship, please reach out to giving@theadderleyschoolfoundation.org.

‘TEACHERS WHO LOOK LIKE ME’ MODEL OF MENTORSHIP:

A TEACHER TRAINING PROGRAM ROOTED IN EXCELLENCE AND INSPIRATION

Our signature ‘Teachers Who Look Like Me’ Model of Mentorship program trains underrepresented vocalists, dancers, and actors to become ADDERLEY Method Teachers. These teachers then lead ADDERLEY classes and workshops in under-resourced areas.

This proven program will expand to a cohort-based model in partnership with Historically Black Colleges and Universities. Not only will students draw inspiration from their teacher, but teachers moving through the training program will find community and support in one another as they grow professionally and personally.

“If you can see it and believe it, it is a LOT easier to achieve it.”

- Oprah Winfrey

CONSERVATORY

The ADDERLEY Conservatory and Jr. Conservatory programs are yearlong rigorous musical theatre training programs for students ages 8–18 who have exhibited extraordinary talent, focus, discipline, and passion to learn all aspects of musical theatre performance. The capstone experience of the Conservatory program is an annual fully produced, first-class Broadway-style musical with professional sets and costumes as well as a live professional orchestra. The 9-month format and high-production value culminating performances make this remarkable program financially out-of-reach for most families. Generous contributions from our supporters make it possible for the Foundation to offset production costs and offer scholarships, increasing accessibility to this unique, life-changing experience.
